- Found wandering on a country road in France, I was picked up by the police and taken to a local animal shelter. They found out I had parvo virus and told me I wasn't a good candidate for adoption. The chances of my recovering were slim, but they didn't know how tough I was! I could see this blond lady looking at me through the bars of my cage, but I was resigned to my fate and too weak to draw her attention. Anyway my cage-mate had her paw on my head. The lady had a tear in her eye. "I'll be back to get you" she said. And she did come back, and I got better. I'm one lucky dog!
