WELCOME !

I'm really getting into this blogging business. I'm excited at the thought of meeting dogs and animal lovers from all over the world, and sharing some doggy tales!

So when did she discover she couldn't live without me?

It was after a particularly nasty episode of bringing down her curtains and chewing the kitchen door, coupled with early morning cleaning up because of my 'delicate stomach', that my mistress put me down on an adoption website. She said she couldn't keep me because she travelled a lot (no mention of my unruly behaviour!). This time I had gone too far...... A couple of weeks later, she was on holiday (having a break from me, she said) and I was at 'camp'. I was loving every minute of being back with a gang of wild dogs like me, but I did miss her. Anyway, she got a call from a young couple who wanted to adopt me. She asked lots of questions about their living accommodation, whether I would be alone during the day, and whether they realised how much it costs to feed a large dog. They gave all the right answers and seemed keen. "We love animals" the girl said and my mistress told them that she would get back to them on her return. Why didn't she jump at the chance? By the end of the holiday she admitted that she missed me too and called the couple back to say that she'd found another solution. That was the beginning of a fresh start for both of us!
